Actually it's not so simple.
On average, men are 99% good people and then there's like 1% of assholes and psychopaths: it's the latter that commit rape and similar crimes (look at crime data if you don't believe me).
If your try to teach "Just don't rape", you change nothing because:
- Good men already don't do that (and they hate rapists).
- Psychopaths and assholes don't give a damn anyway.
Just think about this: could teaching "Just don't steal" solve robbery problems? Of course it doesn't.
It isn't a simple problem, hence there's no simple solutions. Believing in them is naive and useless.
Besides, targeting all men as if it was their fault, in the long run will make them fed up, and less sensitive to the issue. You cannot treat us as "the enemy", and then demand that we are your allies.
