Again, yours is a problem of attention bias.

Try to look at all the things that, in time, have been vastly improved:

- Access to food

- Health care, medicines, vaccines

- End of slavery

- Less wars (we haven't had one in Europe for 70 years)

- Widespread diffusion of information (books, the Internet)

- More democracies and less dictatorships

- Cooperation among countries, etc.

Of course you may ignore all of the above and focus just on the bad. But that would speak volumes about your mental health, not the world. ;-)
