Although I agree SHKQ really did wrong when bad-mouthing the girls' mother, it seems to me that in this case the Dr. isn't offering any empathy at all towards this woman (and this is unusual for Dr. Psych Mom). :-o

OTOH, the Dr. seems totally forgiving towards the girls' mother. After all, she did her good share of bad behaviors, that of course will fall on her daughters one way or the other... yet the Dr. seem oblivious to this.

I wonder if the Dr. is taking her part because she (unconsciously) identifies with her. :-?
