Looks like you're misinformed. Maybe you were fooled by feminist propaganda (it's mostly BS). Actually, it's exactly the opposite.
But you don't have to believe me, you can see for yourself. Go on a dating website, and create two profiles: one of an average middle aged woman, and one for an equivalent guy. Then, see who get hundreds of messages and who gets little or zero. :-)

You will find that men find desirable 80% of women, while women find attractive just 20% of men.
So, now, who's the gender who most "erases" the less attractive of the opposite gender from their minds? ;-P
