Because feminism is not really about equality - and it has never been (when the suffragettes began, they asked the right to vote, but refused the duty to serve their country in the army. Look "white feather feminism").
(most) Feminism has always been about more right and privileges for women - men be damned. And still is. The call for "equality" is just a smokescreen to get people behind their movement... because if they were honest, most people would not support this sexist and double-standard feminism.
Although I have to say that many women care for and support men's rights; but they seldom are feminists.
