Making it a gendered experience it's misleading: regardless of being negated sex, hugs, kisses, touch or attention, feeling that our partner has become cold or indifferent to us is equally devastating.

About this, the common "feminist error" is stating that emotional coldness is awful (because it's mostly suffered by women), while sexual coldness (mostly suffered by men) is fine.
