It's true, men are often the ones having issues in committing before marriage.

But since most divorces (over 2/3) are initiated by women, it looks like it's women who have issues staying committed after marriage. :-o

Since nowadays most men have realized this, it might be that many men are reluctant to commit ALSO because they cannot trust the woman will really "commit to her partner forever" (especially when she's highly emotional and volatile). She might say so now, but who knows...

And since when the marriage ends the financial burden falls on the man most of the times, can you really blame men for being wary about it? Sometimes he might be afraid that, in case of a divorce, everything he has will be taken away from him - it happens everyday.

(of course this is just one reason among many, but it's oftentimes ignored or pushed aside)
