I agree that kind of lasting love is possible - as long as both partners are evolved and mature individuals, and they put their best effort in that endeavor. That seldom happens.

What I find "childish" is not lasting love, but the expectation that such love is easy, natural, or can come without much effort. That is like believing in Santa Claus :-)
