LOL. For most women, confidence feels attractive no-matter-what; even when coupled with arrogance and selfishness (this makes evolutionary sense).
Otherwise, you could not explain why swathes of women fall for the classic "bad boy". The author might be different, but it would be the exception and not the rule.
The solution is not stopping "being confident", but to develop real confidence, instead of faking a forced and awkward one (easier said than done, of course). Therapy could be really helpful.
