This article is clearly gendered: "When Your Wife Initiates Divorce...", and fully revolves around the wife leaving. If it wasn't gendered, the title would be "When a spouse initiates divorce..." or something like that. And the Dr. would have mentioned husbands leaving as well.

I read all of Dr. Psych Mom articles: some are gendered and some are not, and the difference in language is very clear.

I think you are denying the double standards because you're uncomfortable about admitting such standards exist.
