I think you're making a mountain from a molehill.

I don't think that there will be much more in the USA. Most women like, want and need the opposite gender to be happy (just as men do). These movements are mostly about a fringe, a small group of problematic or neurotic people who, instead of having therapy, blame their issues on the other sex.
It's not much different from the '70s, when some feminists pushed women to hate men and become lesbians. It was a smashing success, I'm sure. ;-P
