There might be many reasons for this, but one may be a tendency to idealize relationships and looking for a "perfect one". When you meet someone in real life it's easy to see their faults and shortcomings; while online it's easier to nurture a dream of an ideal and perfect companion.

So, you put in a minimal effort, but you expected men to do their best?!? That's quite entitled.
Of course those men put just their bare minimum. They did what you did. You didn't give them reason to invest more.
It's even likely the best men just ignored your profile, not finding in it anything worthy. Have you never heard the saying "You reap what you sow"...? ;-)
