Kudos to DPM for supporting a healthy, honest and objective sex-positive attitude towards this subject (1. YES, men are on average more horny, and 2. NO, that doesn't make them are wrong or bad).
Shaming a man (or husband) for wanting sex is exactly as dumb and inhuman as shaming a woman for wanting affection (or swap the genders if you like). They are both basic human needs: you might not be into it, but that doesn't give you the right to shame the ones who crave it.
Alas, as DPM herself mentions sometimes, many therapists still adopt the prudish (or feminist?) mentality which says:
- Emotional needs are always OK.
- Sexual needs are shallow, unimportant or second-class.
(I call this a "feminist mentality" because it often becomes "Female needs are OK / Male needs are not").
