I think you fell for attention bias.
If men really had easier lives... then how is possible that:
- Men die younger
- Men commit suicide much more (75-80%)
- Men have much more job-related deaths
- Men are majority of homeless people (85%)
- Men receive harsher sentences for the same crime
- Men are close to half of domestic abuse victims (40-50%), but they are seldom believed and talked about.
The truth is, female suffering is talked about every day; male suffering is usually ignored, hence it becomes "invisible" to most. But it's just as much real.
