Oh boy. This whole concept of "patriarchy" is a bugaboo used by feminism to blame everything on men. There's no real patriarchy in the West, and hasn't been for decades. In places like Afghanistan? Sure, but not here.

This "imaginary patriarchy" is a trick used by feminism to say that "It's always men's fault - never women's".

OTOH, I would say that those problems stem, in great part, from society's indifference to men's plight. In general, society doesn't care about men. It cares much more about women - and this has been even increased by feminism (who is often even more indifferent to men's issues).

But I wouldn't call this indifference "patriarchy"... and it surely isn't for their benefit.
