Thanks for making the parallel between the male fantasy and the female fantasy.
I see the male (usually sexual) fantasies pilloried all the time, while the female fantasies (the man being a mind-reader, or he should be romantic all the time, etc.) are seldom questioned. The former are blamed on porn (and yet men had such fantasies even 2000 years ago), while nobody blames rom-coms and chick flicks for the latter. :-/
As a matter of fact, men are not mind-readers just as women are not porn stars. Is it really that hard to get?

I've noticed that for any fault or quirk one gender has, the opposite gender has an equivalent one. Hence it's quite silly - not to mention sexist - to complain "Men do THIS!" without also noticing that "Women do THAT!". You cannot solve a conflict looking just at one side.
