Thanks for pointing this out.
I noticed this kind of denial in most women (and of course in many men as well), and this leads to great frustration - not to mention it makes it impossible to solve problems (one cannot solve something s/he refuses to see).
It's good to see it acknowledged by a professional.

But I also noticed the Dr. using different attitudes towards the two genders and their shortcomings:
1. (Man) "He should shape up and improve".
2. (Woman) "She's stressed / depressed / highly sensitive, she deserves compassion and understanding".
Of course it's not so black and white, but I see the first attitude applied more to men and the second to women.
