The articles is stating a fact: men are seen as disposable, and are always been. Stating a fact doesn't mean saying it's OK or good. It's useful to raise awareness about this issue.

People agrees about this being true - not about it being just or desirable. Personally I hate it being seen this way... but it's still useful talking about it.
