Of course. And most men, nowadays, are doing that more than they ever did.

But the main reason women find just 20% of men attractive, is hypergamy: most woman are not interested in average men, they desire the best, the top (see the "Prince Charming" ever-lasting myth). Again, we see the same behavior among animals; it's evolutionary and hence innate and universal.

BTW, when discarding the "patriarchy" argument, I am always referring to the West. Of course, in Afghanistan or such places there's something you can call "patriarchy". But in the West? LOL.
