> "There is no world in which most women will love their husband as much as their kids"
So, most men / husbands must resign themselves to be "second place", love-wise? I wonder how many men would be OK with this, said outright and upfront.
Besides, it's often said - even by therapists - that couples should put the couple first, not the kids. This makes evolutionary sense, too, because a strong and happy couple is the most stable and reassuring for the kids as well.
Hence, I wonder if this article is quite biased towards a certain kind of couple, or women (we could call them the "Kids first, husband second"). Or maybe it's about a certain niche of people, and the Dr. thinks this is the standard.
