There lies the distinction between theory and practice.

In theory feminism is about equality. In practice, most of the time it's actually sexist and misandrist.

Similarly, Communism is in theory about equality for all and shared prosperity. In practice, it has been an unmitigated disaster (see Stalin's purges and Mao's Cultural Revolution).

Ideologies are often deceitful - feminism included. It would be unwise to believe the slogans and drink the Kool-Aid. ;-P
