This kind of silly (and juvenile) advice could work with insecure, needy and low-quality men (or people)... but it would make high-quality people run away.

The latter despise these kind of games, and they know they can find someone better, more available and more fun to be around. So they will go for that instead.

Personally, when someone with whom I had a good connection before disappears without explanation, I just write her off as someone not worth wasting my time (I might send a mail / msg asking what happened, but no more than that ).

Also: maybe choose better friends. ;-)
