And why do women want to (endlessly) talk when we are exhausted, bored or simply into something else?

Because people are often selfish, they want what they want, and often do not care much about the other. And it's not men or women, it's almost everyone.

Now, the mentioned husband sounds like a total jackass and devoid of any empathy - and that's definitely not OK.

But my point is that most of us do behave sometimes in a selfish manner, regardless of gender, and that's just part of being human. But most of the time we react to others' selfishness (opposite gender included), while we remain blind to our own.
