Maybe because most women get lots of attention, for free. Especially after the Internet boomed.

Even an average 40-50 years old woman will receive lots of positive male attention. OTOH, an average 40-50 y.o. man will get little to no attention - unless he has some special quality.

What most women (and feminists) forget or deny, it's that women have the power in the relationship area: women are way more desired than men.
