Your words seem showing a bias: "Even the most die hard MAGA Trumpers treat those around them with respect even if they don't agree."

I'm sure some MAGA people are respectful, but others surely are NOT (and that's not at all surprising, since their own leader is often far from respectful or considerate).

IMO, stupid people and assholes can be found anywhere on the political spectrum and in any ideology. Instead you affirm that right-wingers are respectful and many lefties are not. Mhh. Is that reality... or is that your biased opinion?

Just look at the (many) right-wingers who rabidly oppose abortion, and even succeeded in many cases to steal from women that hard-won right. I simply cannot see how they are "respectful ... even if they don't agree".

Remember: anybody saying "My tribe is right and your tribe is wrong" is biased.

The "illiberal left" has simply become similar to what the "illiberal right" has been for a long time: tribalistic, tyrannical and dangerous. My contempt goes to both equally.
